Morgan Smith
The graduate of Columbia College at Columbia University and Mannes College of Music in New York City, Morgan became a Seattle Opera young artist (1999-2000) and in 2001 there made his debut on stage playing Donald as Billy Budd. Smith is an established Seattle popular, has appeared in more than 12 shows, including Don Giovanni in the title role, Silvio and I Pagliacci in I Pagliacci as well Riccardo of I Puritani. He also performed the role of Peter Niles, in Mourning Becomes Alive. Smith frequently performs has made the Dallas Symphony debut in Bach's St. Matthew Passion. Additionally, he played an appearance in the North American premier of Detlef Glanert's orchestral adaptation of Brahmspopular Cycle Vier Praludien and Ernste Gesange together with his orchestra, the San Antonio Symphony. Beethoven's Ninth Symphony is also on the list, as are the Requiems written by Brahms Faure Mozart Durufle, masses by C Minor Mozart Vaughan Williams as well as Bach's B Minor Mass. Handel's Messiah, L'Allegro Penseroso Moderato, Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass, Bach's B Minor Mass, many cantatas as well as Bach's Weihnachts Oratorium.
